A
PATRIOTIC CALL TO GHANAIANS Dr. George Ossei Assibey Mensah President- Ghana U.S.A Chamber of Commerce CHICAGO:- Without a doubt, the best of all times in doing business in Ghana is here!! Those words were echoed by Hon. Mr. J .H. Mensah, the Senior Minister in President J .A. Kufuor’s competent cabinet, during a dinner-dance fundraiser held at the Four Points Sheraton in Chicago on Saturday, September 13. In attendance were Ghanaians in Chicagoland and beyond, who, regardless of their party affinity, truly demonstrated their patriotism and love for the country. Specifically, the honorable Minister gave a factual account of the legacy
that his 32-month-old New Patriotic Party (NPP) government inherited from
the 19-year NDC administration of J. J. Rawlings. To the extent that the
NDC opposition destructively criticizes the Kufuor government without
substance, it makes one wonder whether those critics are really conscious
of the very, very, very serious damage the NDC administration inflicted
on the social and economic subsystems of Ghana during its very, very,
very long term in office. Additionally, it makes one wonder about their
level of patriotism, or, if, indeed, they are patriots. Second language can benefit a child’s future, experts say By CARRIE WHITE East Valley Tribune MESA, Ariz. (AP) _ Ask a person if he speaks Spanish and you’ll get one of three answers: ``Yes,’’ ``No’’ or ``I had it in high school, but I don’t remember much.’’ Julie Wilson and Pat Moffat are examples of the latter. So they didn’t
hesitate when their 7-year-old son, Benjamin, was offered the opportunity
to participate in a kindergarten through fifth-grade dual-language program
at Holdeman Elementary School in Tempe. |
