DOING BUSINESS IN GHANA: LESSONS FROM THE FIRST GHANA INVESTMENT CONFERENCE IN WASHINGTON D.C.

Without a doubt. the best of all times in doing business inGhaoa is here! ! In my last two articles on doing business in Ghana, I highlighted the crucial role Ghana-U.SA Chamber of Commerce or GUSACC bas seriously embarked on to reinforce. (1) the government’s wish to sell many of its enterprises (i.e., the state-owned enterprises or SOEs) with the clear view to encouraging their new owners to assist it (the government) in finding meaningful and long-lasting solutions to its nagging unemployment problem; and (2) the prominent role of the Chantber in responding to the Kufuor government’s request to spearhead events in ChicagoJand that will continually remind everyone with an entrepreneurial vision to establish a business in Ghana now! !
