THE WHOLE SECRET OF LIFE by ELIZABETH AFRIYIE When each moment becomes an expectation, life is deprived of fulfillment, and death is dreaded and it seems that expectation must come to an end. Where there is life, there is hope - and if we live on hope, death is indeed the end. To the undivided mind, death is another moment, and it is complete like every moment, and cannot yield its secret unless lived to the full. Death is the epitome of the truth that in each moment, we are thrust into the unknown. Here all clinging to security is forced to cease and wherever the past is dropped away and safety abandoned life is renewed. Death is the unknown and it is very creative and the whole secret of life. It really means that the past must, be abandoned, that the unknown cannot be avoided, that means life cannot continue, and that nothing can be ultimately fixed. When a man knows this, he lives for the first time in his life. By holding his breath, he loses it. By letting it go, he finds it. If sickness and death were punishment of sin, many, many, many people would not be alive by now. No human being lives forever: death will come one day to all of us so who are we to judge others, when there are too many skeletons hidden in our closets? Let us not deceive the world and judge others in the name of God or get too, excited on other people’s calamities. God is impartial, and we are all His children, and He loves us equally very much. Let us love each other in a positive way. Be truthful and provide the needy with strength without hidden agenda, and not to be destructive or dare try to take undue advantage of vulnerability. Let us take closer look at ourselves and think harder, because life is too short, and death is the whole secret of life. GOETHE: “As long as you do not know how to die and come to life again, you are but a sorry traveler on this dark earth.” |
