Lucent Engineer Pitches Idea to Ghanaian President

By Fred K. Yarney

Please may I take this opportunity to congratulate you for your appointment to this high office of the Government of the Republic of Ghana. Your Excellency, Mr. Speaker, I am a Ghanaian by birth and currently reside in the United States of America. I am a father of 5 kids and we are all proud to be Ghanaians even though some of the kids were born in Diaspora.

Sir, I have been very disturbed by the current wave of crime in the country and especially the violent nature of it. I have also been very concerned about the lack of adequate medical services in the country. I am very much aware of the fact that the previous government contributed to this development due to neglect and lack of responsibility and accountability on its part.
