Dubai: Gulf States’ Internet City:

As part of a shift from oil-based economy, the government of one half of the Gulf States has just launched Dubai Internet City (DIC) at the cost of $735 million. This project is be been executed with the aim of turning Dubai into a regional center in the Persian Gulf.

Towards this end, businesses and government establishments are increasingly setting up Web pages and promoting marketing activities over the Internet.
