COMMENCES AT CHICAGO STATE UNIVERSITY

The
Abubakar Lecture Series at Chicago State University (CSU) lived up to
its name. Featuring stalwarts in the likes of Dr. Elnora D. Daniel, President
CSU, Professor Ali A. Mazrui, Rev. Jesse L. Jackson Snr., President &
CEO Operation Push, Professor Ibrahim A. Gambari from the United Nations,
Dr. Adama J. Conteh, Director of International Programs, CSU and Rev.
Dr. Michael A. Battle among others, the series sought to “initiate or
strengthen thoughts and dialogue on topics and current issues bearing
on the development of democratic institutions, purposive governance and
responsive civil society in those parts of the world undergoing political
changes.”

Ghana National Council Initiates New Executives

took the opportunity to initiate its new executive members. Held at the
luscious Midway Holiday Inn, the event drew an array of guests and featured
Dr. Andrew Davis as the keynote speaker.

COLLABORATIONS
DePaul University President, the Rev. John P. Minogue, C.M., has name
Bridget Vauhgn, former director of development for Athletics and Student
Affairs at De Paul, to the newly created position of associate vice-president
for the Office of University Collaborations.
