MERC PRESENTS GALA SALUTE TO DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. One of Chicago’s –and the nation’s – most dynamic tributes to Dr. Martin
Luther King Jr. will take place on Saturday, January 13, 2001 when the
Minority Economic Resources Corporation (MERC) presents its 29th
annual Dr. King dinner dance. The black-tie event will be held at the
Chicago Hilton and Towers, 720 S. Michigan Avenue and begins with a reception
at 6:00 followed by dinner at 7:00. CELEBRATING THANKSGIVING WITH THE BLACK MCDONALDS OPERATORS ASSOCIATION CHICAGO, (November 21, 2000)-Hot fresh coffee,
steaming grits, and crispy golden hash browns were just a few items that
were on the plates of many grateful people. The Black McDonald’s Operators
Association (BMOA), along with local churches and shelters, hosted a community
affair, “Food for the Body and Spirit,” in Chicago on Tuesday, November
