GHANA OFFERS THE BEST FOR TOURISTS DURING MARCH TRIP

When on March 6, 1957, the West African country of Gold Coast, became independent Ghana, it brought joy and inspiration to many in America. As the first country south of the Sahara to the break the shackles of colonialism from Britain in modern times, Ghana impacted the U.S. civil rights struggle, winning the admiration of many Americans especially Blacks.

WHO LET THE DOGS OUT

 I think the dogs have a monopoly on the rental leases in Lincoln Park. There seems to be more pedigrees living in this locale than people. And the dogs are gazing more grass than a lawn mower. If this keeps up, the Chicago Park District employees will be out of work for a lack of landscaping jobs available in the area. Also, if you get upset while in Lincoln Park, no need to belt out any expletives because chances are you’ve already stepped in the very word your tongue was about to fire out.

U.S. CONGRESS URGED TO FUND UN AFRICAN PEACEKEEPING

 A number of Chicago organizations recently appealed to the U.S. Congress to fund UN peacekeeping efforts in Africa. Under a recent budget proposal put forth by House majority leaders, funding UN efforts in Africa was eliminated, but funding for peacekeeping missions in other parts of the world was maintained.
