DOROTHY BROWN FOR CLERK OF THE CIRCUIT COURT

CHICAGO:- Dorothy Brown knows what it takes to succeed. From her humble beginnings in Minden, Louisiana, Brown has proven that it takes hard work to in all aspects of life to achieve one’s goals. “I am one of eight children, all of whom went to college,” says Brown. “Among us, there are seven bachelor degrees, six masters degrees, two attorneys, one CPA, and Ph.D.”

R & B HALL OF FAMERS THE CHI-LITES PROMOTES ILLINOIS LOTTERY’S “PLAYERS TOUR”

‘The Original 50 Yard Line’ became the sight of the next stop for the Illinois Lottery’s ‘Players Have More Fun’ tour last month. On hand to celebrate this gregarious promotion were Chicago’s own Chi-Lites. The R & B Hall of Famers have among their famous hits “Give More Power To The People,” “Have You Seen Her,” “Oh Girl,” and “Stoned Out of My Mind.” The group is featured in the Illinois Lottery’s campaign.

2000 EDITION OF THE GUIDE TO BLACK CHICAGO RELEASED

Chicago:- In a continuing effort to increase economic opportunities for the African American community in Chicago, the publishers of The Guide to Black Chicago have just released the 2000 edition of the premiere directory to Black cultural, historical and educational points of interest in the City of Chicago.
