foreign investment outfit based in Mali, is to establish a fruit juice
and syrup production plant in Bamako, estimated to 1.5 billion CFA francs.
The company’s board of directors has signed the contract for the venture,
following the completion of technical and financial feasibility studies.

Liberia ECOWAS Leaders Meet Parties To Sierra Leone Conflict MONROVIA, Liberia (PANA - A team of West African leaders has held a meeting
with representatives of the Sierra Leonean government and the rebel Revolutionary
United Front in Monrovia, Liberia’s information minister, Joe Mulbah said.
The heads of state, acting under the aegis of ECOWAS, included Malian
president and ECOWAS chair Alpha Omar Konare; Togolese president and OAU
chair Gnassingbe Eyadema and Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria and
Yayah Jammeh of Gambia.
Mozambique State Reveals Ambitious Plans For Nacala Corridor MAPUTO, Mozambique (PANA) - The Mozambican minister of transport and
communications, Thomas Salomao said the government has ambitious plans
to transform the northern Nacala Development Corridor into a competitive
and quality service for use by importers and exporters. “We want the big
navigation companies, importers and exporters of Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia
and the Democratic Republic of Congo to look at this corridor as one above
par to carry out their activities”, he said.
