“You Can Join Secretary of State Jesse White’s Organ Donor Registry by calling 1-800-210-2106”

Jesse White

Luis Velez is 47 years old and is awaiting a liver transplant. He tells us he is diagnosed with Hepatitis-C and Cirrhosis of the liver, is a recovering cocaine addict, who also drank heavily and has been in recovery for 7-8 years. Luis says he drank for 20 years, mainly beer and hard liquor. Neither of his parents were alcoholics but he says his brother drinks a lot and Luis considers him to also be an alcoholic though his brother does not agree. Luis adds, there was a short time in one year that he intravenously used cocaine. Today Luis is sober and has a wife and 4 kids, ages 4-16.

HEALTH MANAGEMENT CONSULTANTS - AFRICA

Health Management Consultants - Africa (Hemaconaf), has come about as a result of observing experiences Africans living abroad go through in times of health needs by loved ones left back at home. On such occasions, even if we can afford the sudden financial obligations imposed by the multiple telephone calls, the emergency travels home and so forth, we still are ineffective because we do not have the most important information i.e. the health situation of the sick loved one.
