Leading South Side Performing and Visual Artists Named

CHICAGO (July 13, 2000)-Vocalist Maggie Brown, Billy Branch & The Sons of Blues, the Ken Chaney Xperience, Theresa Davis, Fernando Jones 7, My Band, Corky McClerkin and Muntu Dance Theatre are just a few of the South side artists who wll be performing on four stages during the 1st annual “Spirit of South Shore” Celebration Sunday, August 27 from 10 a.m. until dusk.

MUSICAL COMEDY-DRAMA “THIS FAR BY FAITH” RETURNS TO eta THURSDAY JULY 20 THROUGH AUGUST 27, 2000

Alex Everett (left) and Rhonda Peterson Photo: Ken Simmons CHICAGO (July 3, 2000)-“This Far By Faith,” the spirited musical comedy-drama that had its world premiere at eta during the 1996-97 season, and returned by popular demand as the “Pick of the 97-98 Season,” will have its third Mainstage presentation at eta Creative Arts Foundation beginning Thursday July 20 through Sunday August 27 at ETA Square, 7558 South Chicago Avenue. Performances are at 8:00 p.m. Thurs. through Sat; 3:00 & 7:00 pm Sundays. General admission is $20, $10 for students, seniors and groups of 10 or more.
