LOVE PSEUDO - AFRICAN STYLE PART 5 TRIP FOR THE CAUSE OF MARRIAGE This is all well and good if some women prefer to hunt for husbands abroad
but I just want them to be aware of the evils involved. You see back home,
we believe that everything from abroad is in general the ultimate. May
be so but what I cannot stand is the inferiority complex people back home
are made to attach to themselves because of the fact that they have never
traveled outside their country. Frankly speaking, people at home look
on domestic manufacturing products as being inferior to imported ones.
ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY BOOSTS LINKS WITH AFRICAN INSTITUTIONS Indeed, Africa and Chicago State University (CSU) are hemispheres apart,
but old and new ties are drawing them together. In an effort to boost
education links with African institutions, CSU President Elnora Daniel
was among more than 100 education, business and cultural leaders who accompanied
Governor George Ryan o his recent visit to South Africa. At the same time,
Dr. Adama Conteh, director of CSU’s Office of International Affairs and
former first lady of Sierra Leone, visited Ghana for discussions with
President Jerry Rawlings and the country’s education leaders about joint
educational programs.

My Impressions about Ghana The impression most British people have of Africa is one of primitive,
but noble tribesmen, and wild animals. We see pictures of people dying
in war and famine competing with endangered animals for our sympathy.
However the Africa I have encountered is not the Romantic Safari Park,
the anthropological case study or tribal battleground that we are led
to believe in Britain. Ghana is a country of multilingual, multi-talented
people who are struggling to better themselves, rather than that one-dimensional
victims shown on British television.
